Forget the rules of traditional, analytical, and structured wine tasting. Set aside the classic stages of tasting, judgments, technical terms, and fancy words. This workshop offers a new approach to tasting, where personal perceptions and emotions take center stage. It’s open to everyone: beginners, discerning enthusiasts, and professionals. Anne is an instructor at the École des Vins du Languedoc, a WSET exam preparer, and has been in the wine industry for nearly 15 years. Her desire to discover vibrant, lively wines guides her sensory approach to tasting.

We invite you to discover—or rediscover—the wines of Domaine Canet Valette through this unique sensory experience: Intuitive Tasting.

Here, there are no right or wrong answers. Only what the wine awakens within you: an emotion, a memory, an image, a landscape, a piece of music, a sensation. Each glass becomes an encounter, each sip an invitation to listen to your feelings. It is important to us to put each person’s experience at the center of the discussion. Wine speaks, lives, and conveys different emotions, sensory perceptions, and memories to every taster. It is this journey—deep within yourself—that Anne invites you to take with the wines of the Canet Valette estate.

Intuitive tasting allows you to access the wine’s message in a more authentic, direct, and personal way. It’s a surprising, convivial, and deeply human experience that transforms the way you taste and approach wine.

The Program

Let yourself be guided, open your senses, and come experience a timeless moment at the heart of the estate’s wines. The workshop lasts 2 hours in total.
To begin and familiarize yourself with the process, you’ll be invited to participate in an intuitive olfactory experience. We’ll also cover the basics of sensory analysis.
Four wines from the estate will then be tasted blind (in dark glasses and with a blindfold)
Before each tasting, a short meditation session will help you clear your mind so you can better appreciate the wine.
After each tasting, we’ll hold a debriefing and a roundtable discussion to discuss what you’ve perceived, observed, and felt. These discussions help you find your own way to put your perceptions into simple words.
