EXPO JOCELYNE EUGÈNE

This is a series of illustrations handmade with Rotring and printed in risography in limited editions. The latter is entitled "D'après JJ. Audubon". It's a play between the original works of the ornithological pioneer and my amusing, sometimes grating or offbeat interpretation of them! In fact, I play with the characteristics of the bird or the posture chosen by Audubon for the image, to make the animal express much more than its mere representation.

JJ. Audubon was a Franco-American naturalist who devoted a large part of his life to cataloguing and reproducing life-size images of no fewer than 435 mainly North American birds. This series is entitled "Birds of America", and it's largely on this that I base my work.

Risography is an environmentally-friendly printing technique. It is a cold printing process that consumes very little energy. This technique integrates the ecological dimension right from the outset, enabling printing with inks made exclusively from soya and containing no solvents
