LES FALAISES D'ORQUE

Mountainous terrain ,  Regional Nature Park in Saint-Geniès-de-Varensal
  • 200m high, the Orc cliffs, north of the Caroux and Espinouse massifs, form the highest limestone wall in the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc. It is for this reason that the Golden Eagle chose this site to lay its nest. To the north of the cliffs, there is a plateau at an altitude of 800m to which they are attached, and to the east and west, the slopes in the continuity of the cliffs. Several caves are also included in this complex.
