ITINERARY
DAY 1: Meeting point in Lamalou Les Bains
Check-in at the *** hotel for 6 nights on a half-board basis.
Presentation of the stay and stroll through the village.
DAY 2:
The Caroux Plateau: Le Roc et la Tour. Short transfer to the heart of the Massif.
We'll spend the whole day on the Caroux plateau between 800 and 1093 meters. Few difficulties and breathtaking panoramas towards the Pyrenees to the south, the Mediterranean and the
Cévennes. Passing the Tour du Caroux (highest point of the massif) and the orientation table
before a final stop at Roc du Caroux.
Return around 5:00 pm.
350 m ascent - 350 m descent - 4 hrs 30 mins effective hikeJOUR 3 :
Les Gorges de Colombières. Departure around 9:00 am. Very short transfer to the village of Colombières.
Loop hike on either side of the Arles torrent. Magnificent, sometimes winding paths and breaks along the torrent in the shade of chestnut trees. Picnic lunch, ? Return around 5:00 pm
600 m ascent - 600 m descent - 14.5 km - 5h30 hours effective walking time
DAY 4 :
Southern Espinouse
Departure around 9:00 am, 20-minute transfer to Bardou or Auziale. A fine climb through oak and heather to reach the Espinouse crests. Passing by the Rocs d?Ourliades and Peyre Azent and the 1053 m montahut.
Return late afternoon.

DAY 5 :
Le Vialais, between Caroux and Espinouse.
Departure from the hotel at 9:00 am, transfer to the hamlet of Douch or the Col de l'Ourtigas.
Loop hike around the Vialais stream. We spend most of the day in the heart
day in the heart of the Caroux National Hunting Reserve, kingdom of the Mouflon.
We'll wander through heather moors, beech forests and chestnut groves?keep an eye out for otters, too, in this unspoilt environment.
Lunch break with picnic provided by the guide.
Return late afternoon.

DAY 6 :
Héric Gorges
One of the best-known valleys in the Hérault, a treasure trove for hikers and climbers, we follow the gorges with many breaks by the stream. Lunch after the hamlet of Héric, followed by a final climb to the
baou Filiti lookout before descending to the Jaur and Orb valleys. 500 m ascent - 500 m descent - 12 km - 4.5 hours effective walking time
DAY 7 :
Separation after breakfast.
