  • The former Benedictine abbey dedicated to Saint-Anian (which has been the town hall since 1855) dates back to the 9th century. Today, no trace of it remains. This modest building housed twelve monks and thrived until the 13th century, during which time its cloister was built. The old abbey church was plundered and destroyed during the French Revolution, when its apse was removed. It is now used as a multi-purpose sports hall.
In 2005, the cloister was renovated and listed as a French heritage building. Its fountain and garden offer the perfect opportunity for some refreshing relaxation.
