  • The Simon mine is named after mining engineer Aaron Benjaf Simon. It is divided into two levels: lower and upper. The remains are on the upper level. It was opened in 1862 at an altitude of 383 m and allows the exploitation of the coal layers on the right bank of the Clédou (Grand Pas, Burelle, Ubertino, Thomas).
