Situated in the gorges de la Cesse, just a few kilometers from Minerve and halfway between Béziers and Carcassonne, this site has a north face and a south face for year-round practice. The setting is magnificent, and the site is calm and wild.

Fauzan has over two hundred routes spread over 16 sectors on the north face and 10 sectors on the south face. Grades range from 5b to 8b, with the majority of routes in grades 6 and 7. Routes do not exceed 30 meters.

With its limestone cliffs, this site offers a wide range of climbing styles: generously shaped boulders, steeper walls with rulers, slabs with cracks, overhangs of all kinds, a few traverses and a few roofs.

    South face:
The south face faces south/southwest and is sunny from 11am to 1pm.
The approach takes 30 minutes from the parking area.

    North face:
The north face, facing north/north-east, goes into the shade around 10am/12pm.
The style of climbing on the north face is rather technical on steep, even overhanging walls, and requires time for acclimatization, due to its white, chalky rock.
The approach walk takes 10 minutes from the parking area.
